Yes… But since we are still carrying our 3yo on most moderate hikes, I am looking forward to the day when he goes on his own feet and my load gets lighter! Each phase has its good side I suppose…

And I agree, the earlier you get them acclimated the better. Now that my girls are older I miss the days when we could hike with them on our backs — they didn’t complain then!
